Exclusive from the collection The Prime Energize that is focused on sports, some activities take place in the hotel’s premises and some in the surrounding outdoors, this offer is based on a very complete program of sports activities and sports facilities.
Guests have access to a calendar of sports activities included in the room rate. The offer is complemented by healthy meals and the Spa proposal, favoring the cult, above all, of well-being and a healthy and balanced life.

Biking

Because this is also a “Bike Hotel”, you can have access to a “bike centre”. You will be able to rent electric and mountain bicycles as well as hace access to an app developed by The Prime Energize, with three diferent trails which have diferent levels of difficulty. You will be cycling in unspoiled, remote nature, through hills and along the coastline, where the air is purer and the views are beautiful and wide. A space to keep your bicycle and a small repair corner are also available.

Stand-Up Paddle

We have established a partnership with a local company for guests interested in sea sports such as Stand-Up Paddle and Kite Surf. Stand-Up Paddle is basically “walking”on water that results in an excelent exercise for abdominals that sustain the body balance. Stand-Up Paddle takes place in Ria Formosa, a beautifully lush nature reserve, where its small inhabitants and abundant vegetation can be enjoyed in all tranquillity. All tours include an instructor. Experience the allure of sunshine, sea and wind and surrender to them with passion.

Kite Surf

Kite Surfing involves a totally different kind of adrenaline. Pushed by the wind, sometimes flying over the water, any kite-surfer should have a minimum level of fitness and strength. Kite Surf is a blend of sea, wind and speed. If you know the sport, fling yourself at the waves and let the wind, sometimes strong, take you along the coastline – and never mind falling as Algarve waters, depending on the time of year, may reach 20-21º! If you have never tried this sport, we suggest you enrol in our one-week course for people who have never tried this sport or those wishing to improve their skills, we highly recommend our 7-day course. Just let go and enjoy the strong sense of freedom that the closeness to the waves and water provides.

Ioga, Pilates and Stretching

The Prime Energize makes available a daily programme of sports activities, all included in your daily rate. You will have free access to the gym, you can also enjoy a morning walk or run (with a member of the hotel’s staff), you will have full access to the spa and its indoor swimming pool, to the outdoor pool and to one daily class (this time in a group) of activities such as Yoga, Pilates, Stretching, Aquafit, and others.

Gym and Personal Trainer

The gym, to which you will have free access to as it is included in your daily rate, is fully equipped with Technogym machines.

Here you will find: Workout treadmill; Pilates ball; Technical workout treadmill; Rowing machines; Sponge plyometric boxes; Kinesis One workout machines; Stand for Arke Kit with: half ball for balance training, training stick and Kettlebells; Gym bicycle.

Should you wish a tailored training programme, The Prime Energize have a personal trainer who will assess your fitness level initially to produce a workout plan to really suit your needs. Check below our programmes with a personal trainer namely Bootcamps, Detox and Weight Loss packages, but do not hesitate to challenge us should you wish to create one specifically for you. Professional Athletes

Only 3 km away is situated the Centro de Alto Rendimento de Vila Real de Santo António, where professional athletes train on a regular basis. The Prime Energize is delighted to welcome athletes to its premises, where you will find equipment and services specialized for high performance trainings in sports such as rugby, football, judo, athletics or triathlon (among others).
Algarve’s climate, the surrounding nature, our equipment and the kind of services we provide, makes us the ideal 4 stars sports hotel to receive professional and semi-professional athletes. Picture yourself on a sunny morning, working out on the indoors and outdoors and coming back for a delicious and healthy lunch; in the afternoon you can train again and walk, run or cycle along the hill or beach trails. However, if the water is your thing, do not hesitate to go Kite surfing or Stand-Up paddling. Finish your day enjoying a breathtaking sunset at the Rooftop bar or pamper yourself with an aromatic massage at the Energize spa.

Trail Running, Running & Walking

The Running Corner is our special project which includes a little shop where you may buy some sports clothing (basics only), but also offers a few outdoor activities such as:

  • Run like a local - 3 walking trails in the middle of unspoiled nature (7, 15 and 19 km), where you will enjoy the great natural beauty of the Sotavento Algarvio. These trails are made available via an app. On some of these trails you will be accompanied by a member of staff;
  • Little shop with sport articles such as trainers, socks and t-shirts;
  • A partnership with a company called run4excellence for specific trainings aimed at athetles like: Customized programmes; Activities on specific pre-selected trails; Track training (athletics training); Strength training; Running training accompanied by a professional;
  • The weekly sport activities timetable is kept throughout the year. These activities are pre-set and entirely free. For example, you can benefit from walks in the outdoors, among others which you can check on the sports activities timetable.

Tennis and Paddle

Given the hotel’s proximity (2 km) to Vila Real de Santo António’s Tennis Club, feel free to book a tennis court or to request a tennis or padel lesson.
The Tennis Club includes:

  • 9 tennis courts with two types, hard court and clay court
  • 5 clay courts
  • 4 hard courts
  • There is also a municipal Sports Complex which includes a gymnasium
  • An athletics track
  • A football training pitch
